How long does it take to receive money wired to Bank of China? |
If I "wire"money from overseas (Australia) to Bank of China, how long should I expect it to take for Bank of China to process it and deposit it into my account? I my self using BOC for wire transfer out side China for numerous time and always got to my oversees bank by 5 working day, for receiving it should take 3 to 5 working day or you can ask your bank (in Australia) they'll tell you when will the money be into your acct because some bank can transfer in same day to 4 working day. it depends on the receiving bank's wire department. It could be instantaneously or it could take 1-2 days. Wire transfers are not guaranteed to be anywhere at a particular time. Why get it wired? As long as your card has a 'cirrus' logo on it you can withdraw cash from most machines in China. The fees you pay for this is probably a lot less than the fees fro wiring money. Also, I have heard of horrible things happening when money is wired in, the bank tends to skim a lot of it off and keep it for themselves. |
