The law only relates to annual leave which at the present stands at a minimum of 20 days per year.

This cannot include bank holidays but doesn't confer legal rights to the eight days British workers currently have as bank holidays.
I have to work bank holidays.I get paid double time and get a day extra holiday although i do have the option to refuse my extra day and get paid for it instead.
For UK holidays yes but if an employee agrees they can have a day off on lieu instead. My partner used to work Good Friday but his boss gave him another day off instead
Let's put it this way: They won't normally deduct from your salary :-)

If you are working as a temp, you will only be paid for the hours you work. So if you don't work on a bank holiday, you won't get paid.

If you are a full-time employee working normally 9-5 monday to friday, then you will have bank holidays off and will still get paid.

If you have different working conditions, like working weekends/nights, policies will vary. You will either be paid more for working a bank holiday or you will get a day off in lieu.

There will always be exceptions. One I can think of is if for instance you work with France, you may work English holidays and get French ones off. These cases are very particular and would be defined in your contract.
