Any ideas for UK Building Societies/Banks that offer an account I can open so that when I go abroad to Greece?

I can withdraw money using a card that will not cost me to do so or ones that are reasonable.
Thanks all you people who hate paying bank charges!!!

If you open a flexi account with nationwide they do not charge for using it abroad when you go to get cash from a cash machine its totally freeeee!!!!! As the flexi acc cash card has cirrus on the back which is the equivelent to a link machine card hope this helps x
Have you tried HSBC? They seem to be everywhere....I did the same thing when I did trade shows overseas...opened a GBP HSBC account in Canada, and then used it while in UK.

Best of luck.
Nationwide do a card that you put money on and then use like a debit card. I believe American Express do the same and the Post Office do a Credit Card that doesn't charge a premium for International use. Most of the others charge a 2.75% surcharge-Having said that because they use the commercial rate when they convert instead of the tourist rate it is still cheaper/better value than say Travellers Cheques.
