Just received e-mail from yahoo results stating that I had won $800,00 reply to bank in UK is this legitimate?

This is a scam! Somebody is trying to verify your e-mail address so it can be sold to spammers, or they are trying to get your bank account info so you can be ripped off later! Report such a mail to: phishing@cc.yahoo-inc.com! To read more about this go to the links below.

no. scam...just delete. you will receive them often. just delete or you will pay harshly (literally)
Its a scam. What you can do is find where it came from (domain from the sent address) and foward message to abuse@yahoo.com.


I'm sure that's been done before, but I did that to a couple of messages that kept coming to me, and I never had them show up again.
Did you enter a competition for $800.00? I suspect not! Its a scam!

I believe it is a group of hackers trying to get some kind of virus into your computer. you should never open the email. I never do.
