Anyone here have inside knowledge of the Benefits Agency or banks/lenders? (UK only)? |
An elderly friend of ours has been awarded Disability Living Allowance recently, but his ex filled in the form and he doesn't even remember signing it. (We have had him taken away from her for his own sanity and safety and he is a lot happier now.) She has also been obtaining credit and running up bills etc in his name and we have involved the Police. We are currently waiting for a copy of his credit file. The question is- do the DSS keep the forms that are sent in or are they destroyed once the information is put onto computer and is this the same with banks etc? She will probably be prosecuted for fraud but it would be good if this could be added to the list as she took nearly 拢1500 of his DLA before he even knew it had been awarded to him. Thanks for any inside knowledge. yes they do keep all the form because of they have copies of sigs just incase of problems and you should also be able to write to any company or organisation and request any information that's held on you. |
