I am from India having a credit card is not bad provided that you use it wisely. i am 20 yrs old and have a silver cash back card with citibank since 1 year. no annual fees and zero joining fees. i make sure that i dont overspend, not pay interest by paying the total amount as soon as i get paid every month. because of internet access it helps me keep track of my account. dont go behind any offers, because u have to spend a lot to get those points for prizes. i just got 100 bonus miles for changing to statement on email . this is what you can look for. personally for me citibank sucks and so do other banks. but that should not matter so long as you use the card wisely all of them are available at a zero joing and annual fees Here is list of credit card compnies offering zero joining fees and zero annual fees. If at all u want a credit card take it from Bank of India's India card. very reasonable charges. Except SBI u can try some nationalised banks cards. NEVER EVER GO TO Citi Bank, Hdfc, ICICI, Standard Chartered, HSBC, They give 10 cards and drown u. Stay Away.
