Best gas rebate credit card?

I've been shopping for a new credit card specifically for gas cashback. I am looking for visa or mastercard so I can still use it at most other retailers. I am not so concerned about interest rate since I pay my credit card in full all the time.

Is there a good card any one of you would recommend?

The best such card I know of (at least for the first year) is the Citi Driver's Edge card which pays 6% back on gas for the first 12 months and 3% thereafter. Other good ones are the Chase Freedom and AmEx Blue Cash. There are others though that may be better for your overall spending profile. Discover have some good cards. Before you go for a card check if the apr rate is less or not and then go for one.

The first credit card for gas that you can apply online is the Discover Gas Card. Another card that is an instant approval card, having gas rewards along with various other rewards is the Hilton Honors Platinum Credit Card. It gives rewards at eligible gas stations, supermarkets, and many other places.
