What is the best APR or credit card that a recent grad can get? |
Want a pretty high limit but lowest apr possible. Don't know credit score but currently I have no debt and only one student credit card from Citibank that is debt-free. If you've had your student credit card for a while (and no debt), you're credit is probably pretty good. I'd say you're ready to move onto a more 'traditional' credit card. But without an exact credit score-- it's hard to recommend a particular credit card offer. Start here, for a complete list of low APR offers: http://www.asapcreditcard.com/0-apr.html... If you're worried about getting approved (for any reason), I would highly recommend the Chase Platinum card. Not only is it a competitive offer, but Chase seems to have the 'loosest' approval guidelines of all the major credit card issuers. Hope this helps. GOOD LUCK! Source(s): http://www.asapcreditcard.com The one you have right now. New ones are not always that attractive to new customers, unless you have a history of long-term good credit. Talk to citibank about raising your limit if need be. The best APR is 'zero'. Which is to say not to apply for another credit card. Since you just graduated it's best not to start with credit. In addition it's best to keep your credit limit on a card to $2000 and should only be used for emergencies. That is at least until you can create real income. Credit cards are the biggest reason that people do not create true wealth. rather than earning interest they spend their money paying interest. I would suggest to keep the card you have now and open a savings account that pays a high interest rate and begin to build that rather than 'building' your credit cards. As your salary increases then you should only carry credit that is proportionate to a percentage of what you earn. Your question should have been, 'how is it that you can remain debt free and build true wealth?' Good luck! http://www.debtcreditlearningcenter.com/...
