Whats the best way to negotiate with credit card companies? Howdy, There are a few ways to look at this question. a.) You have good credit and are looking for a better deal like a lower annual fee or a reduced APR. b.) You have not-so-stellar credit and are looking for ways to get out of debt with as little drama as possible. I don't normally picture Oprah when I think of sage financial advice, but the article on negotiating with creditors is worth reading and may be of some help. The best way that I have found is to tell them that you found another card better then them and that you are going to cancel them and switch.. if your account and credit is in good standing they will lower ther APR and raise you credit line if thats what you want.
