I have bad credit best unsecured card i can obtain? Let's see, you don't pay your bills, yet you want more loans. Do you see anything wrong with that picture? Do you realize that your unpaid deadbeat debts are costing the rest of us? What's next for you, move where you can't be found, bankruptcy, welfare, disability? Maybe you can sue someone. Go to moneysavingexpert.com for great advice. NB Apparently this needs explanation. moneysavingexpert.com is an excellent, independent website based in the UK that covers the whole range consumer affairs, from finance to mobile phones to gas and electricity to holidays to flights, you name it, its got it. Its newsletter has over 1 million subscribers and its founder has written several books and now has a TV show on ITV, purey based on the success of his website and the quality of his independent, well rounded, 'fight for the little guy and screw the corporations', no BS, plain english, easy-to-understand advice. It has crystal clear articles entitled, for example, 'How to shop around for the best credit card deal' and 'How to juggle your debt to get the most from you credit cards'. It has a great spreadsheet tool that will help you budget your finances and identify areas in which you may be overspending wihtout even realising. For these reasons its section on financial advice, debt, and loans is particularly strong. The website emphasizes that loyatly to a particular bank/brand/shop can stop you getting the best deal, and shows you how to shop/deal/schmooze your way to getting the best, fairest deal for you. He explains the tricks and weasel words that banks and other companies use to deceive the consumer, and exposes the deals that many of them are prepared to cut, once they realise they are dealing with an informed customer. It also has a great bulletin board where the public can contribute their money saving tips, experiences and problems. Plus its free so its cheaper than visiting an independent financial adviser. And can you get independent advice from a bank's adviser, who has a vested interest in selling you at least one of their products? I doubt it. And no, I'm not some tree-hugging hippy or pea-brained anarchist (would it matter if i were?), just one of millions who hates being ripped off on the high street. Hope that's clearer, that's all I have to say to Hugh, now or ever. Now try and be nice Hugh, at least I've had a stab at offering some advice whereas you've just stooped to insulting me (and my sister?! - not impressive Hugh, not very impressive at all). I hope this doesn't count as advertisement! The website is free to use and I'm just that impressed with the service, that's all. You may need one-to-one advice from an IFA but the website is a great place to start. Modified 1 year ago Go to your local bank and speak with a financial agent there. The easiest to get is NOT the best. Discover Card has a program for people wishing to build credit. They have credit limits as low as $200. Speak to a financial agent at your bank. He or she can help you decide which is best for you. Wow, for a poster to recommend only one web site out of hundreds that can help the OP is taking a EXTREMELY narrow-minded view of personal financial affairs. Did you notice, "dnbfan", that the other two posters actually bothered to give meaningful advice? "I'll be watching this one with interest." Modified 1 year ago |
