What bank is the best for credit cards??? |
I looked on bankrate.com and they gave me some pulaski bank. I wanted to get people's feelings on which bank they prefer I really like Chase-I have cards with Capital One, Washington Mutual and Chase and i love them. Chase has the "flexible rewards" and the card i just opened in November, gave me a $2000 limit, no annual fee, no fee balance transfers until march first, AND 0% APR until May 2008. Washington mutual gave me good limit (5500) but the APR is nasty(like 24%) but there isn't an annual fee, they were my first credit card, the only one i could get that had no annual fee back when i was 19. Capital one's APR was 15% but I have had them for a year and a half and they won't increase my limit (1000) I'm closing my Capital One, keeping the WM in case of an emergency, and I consolidated my balance to Chase (almost, I have a little on WM that i brought over from Capital One, they gave me a 3.99% on balance transfers, but that will be gone in a month or so) One thing I will say about WM also is that they moniter your credit and You can log into your account and view an abbreviated version of your credit report (no details) and your transunion credit score without having to pay anything. . Credit unions charge the lowest interest. Maybe you can try below website to get the information. It's about how to choose the best credit card articles for your second opinion http://www.d-best-free-credit-report.com... That depends on whether you're planning to carry a balance (then you want low APR) or not (then you want great rewards). I'd recommend that the only consistently good way to use credit cards is to pay off your balance every month. Then your objective becomes getting the best rewards for your normal spending (which you're funneling through credit cards). In that case, the best banks for rewards cards tend to be Citi, Chase, and AmEx (not a bank, but they have some good cards). Also, Fidelity (a brokerage company) has a Visa card that effectively pays 1.5% cash back on *all* spending (regardless of category). To find the best card(s) to maximize your rewards for your normal spending, check out the rewards calculator at http://www.creditcardtuneup.com/... . It will calculate how much you can expect to earn from many of the leading rewards cards for your spending profile. It'll also calculate the best combinations of cards for you.
