What credit card is best for me? |
I have paid off debts and want to build credit what company would approve me for a credit card to do this? I have never had one before. Major credit cards (Visa, MC and Amex) Build credit the quickest. However, if you have had a history of bad credit, start with a store credit card. Or, go to your bank and ask them for a credit card. (A credit card tied to your bank is usually pretty easy to get, even if it has just a small limit) Once you have one, use that until you start to build a good credit history. This is really just a modified bank card, however, over time it actually builds credit like paying a regular credit card bill on time would do. For instance, send a $500 to them, get a card that has a max of $500, and you can go from there.
