What is the best Insurance company for boats?

We have found BoatUS to be very good. We knew folks who had a lightning strike, and the boa was totaled, but since they got it out of the water before an oil slick formed, they waived the deductible. We have always heard good reports.

I have had a few and the best I have had is BoatUS. Good company and prices with many benefits to membership.
I have my cabin cruiser on my homeowners policy and they cover pretty much everything for a cheap rate. We pay it by the year and forget about it. Luckily we have not had to use it yet.
Boat US what it costs to join to be able to buy the insurance from the co-op. Is well worth the 20 bucks a year for the membership and discounts.

Many insurance companies will let you add it to a homeowners policy depending on the size and HP. That is usually the cheapest route. Another good company for boats is Progressive. I have a 215 hp jetski and I pay 220.00. They also have agreed value coverage for your boat for a certain period of time. You would have to check the rates as it may not be the cheapest.
