What is a good Finance Company to go through when starting a small business with not so great credit? The Small Business Administration may have programs that you can take advantage. See your local bank to see if they are SBA lenders. Keep in mind that the SBA is only a clearinghouse of sorts. You will still be getting your funds (and therefore need to qualify at) a bank. Yes, there are many programs, but come prepared with some of your own money, too. They're not going to hand you a loan if you're not willing to put up some of your own money in case the biz doesn't work out. It depends on what's on your credit.
