Car Insurance in Massachusetts? |
I did not know that Geico does not cover MA. and a lot other famous co. do not either. Does anybody know why? I believe this is because that MA insurance is controlled by the state. That means the state decides what insurance costs, and every company must charge this amount. This virtually eliminates competition as all companies must charge the same amount. I guess since the major companies cannot control their rates they feel that they will not make enough money, For more information on MA insurance visit http://www.auto-insurance-knowledge.com/... The 'Peoples Republic of Massachusetts' has the most insurance-hostile state government in the entire U.S. -- bar NONE. What else could you expect from a bunch of dolts that keep re-electing Ted kennedy and John Kerry? The state insurance commision makes doing business in the state so difficult that all major insurers (inc State Farm) completely pulled-out. The state officials seem to think that insurance companies should operate in Mass. for no profit whatsoever, all regulations should be variable in order to benefit the state and no claim should EVER be denied no matter what the circumstance. Any insurance company with any brains decided that there is no chance for any profit to be made in a socialist cesspool such as Mass. Go figure..... Long time claims jerk... There is no competition, there are similar laws in NJ as well. Bascially no matter what company you go to, you are going to pay the same rate based on your charateristics. Therefore, Gieco cant save you "hundreds" in MA, that is why a lot of companies dont write there. |
