What makes a car in the UK tax exempt? thanks? |
What makes a car in the UK tax exempt? thanks? Super low carbon output that puts you in band A for car tax and below what is possible w. petrol/gas, so you have to be rich and have a half electric Toyota prirus etc. Or classic car status over 25 years old, they've paid enough tax already! Ironically electric hybrids have the largest lifetime carbon footprints of any vehicles in case you really thought you were saving the Earth. I think it has to be over 25 years old old cars has to be 25 years old I think! probably working for the UK government What sort of 'exempt' are you talking about? Do you mean that no VAT is charged? Please add more details. If you advise the DVLA in writing that your car is off the road-like one you are restoring or permanemtly on your drive that sort of thing-then you can avoid road tax. |
