When buying a used car from dealership, what is the cost of tag, tax & title?

If buying an 2006 honda accord for $16,500 from a dealership, what is the percentage of the purchase price to figure the tag, tax & title? thanks.

It actually varies from state to state. Where are you located? Indiana, for instance, has a $15 title fee, where Illinois has $65. Source(s): Lead Programmer for The Auto Evaluator

it will probably be between $300-$400 depending on the state taxes
the dealer should tell you that before hand.......
About 8% more or less. If you do 10% you'll definitely have it covered. Tax and license vary from state to state.
that will depend on what state you live in ,and the tax rate you have to pay in that state, its different in every state.good luck.
