What are some good options? Who gives the best trade-in value.? Etc. Thanks for your help!!

Buy a 2-3 yr old Honda or Toyota with remaining warranty. Very reliable and the dealers are generally very straight forward. Saturns are about the only American car in that price range worth their salt and the dealers are better to work with than most.
If you want the most out of your trade in sell it yourself. eBay, autotrader, recycler, etc. Do some research on http://www.kbb.com/kb/ki.dll/ke.kb.sz?kb... to get what your car is worth. A dealer will generally talk you down on your car value beacue they will have to try and turn it around and make a profit on it. Not all dealers are scammers but they will generally try and make up any loss on your trade in on not working with you on the price of the car you are buying.

Scions are a good car but the trade ins suck they are made by toyota so they're good for 300,000 miles. Stay away from kia they suck
My Hyundai Elantra costs about that, and it has been very reliable. It also came with a great warranty (5 yr bumper to bumper, 10 yr moving parts). Trade in is going to depend on the car you are trading in and what condition it is in. You will always get less money on a trade in than you would if you sold the car yourself.
