If I transfer my current plates and registration will I have to pay back taxes on my current vehicle? If you already owe money...then yes, you still have to pay it. i hope so Of course you will. Especially if you owe taxes on the tags you are trying to transfer. Even if you don't transfer the tags, most computer systems are going to show you still owe money. Pay the Man!! And get to driving legally. You betcha! In many states, you won't be able to register another vehicle (or renew your license!) if there are unpaid personal property taxes. |
