What percentage tax do foreighn investers have to pay on cars that they import from europe to bangladesh?

I think if the car is imported for use by foreign missions and investors for their personal or official use then the tax is Nil. You pay taxes, VAT and allied fees only when you would sell the car to anybody in Bangladesh who is not covered by tax-exemption clauses.

I have bought one such car from an official working in FAO and have to pay all the taxes and VAT to government upon my purchase, which was showing Nil Tax when used by that official.

For further details, you may contact the following link of National Board of Revenue, Bangladesh (NBR), the central authority for tax administration in Bangladesh: Source(s): http://www.nbr-bd.org/
if its a new car, you can reclaim your VAT back and most of times that should cover any taxes you have to pay
