Can I still sign up for a career as a life insurance agent in NYC?
Well, anyone can sign up for a career as a life insurance agent. You just need to pick a company to work with (biggest ones in New York City is Metlife, Prudential, and Primerica). Then you need to take the state life exam. When you get your license from the state, you then need to be authorized by the company to start selling life insurance. Only then can you start selling life insurance.
