What are the professional career option in general insurance field apart from being an agent ? |
i am working in call center that deals with indian general insurance product and i want to persue professional course so that i can establish myself in the field of insurance You can be a claims adjuster, claims manager, underwriter or actuary - the last pays the best. You can become a insurance broker and write special risks. You can go into the business side and invest the company's money, go into risk management or general business management. You could also be an agen tin a bank...easy money and commissions, since the customers just walk through the door! Within an insurance company, you can work in different Underwriting positions, Claims positions, Customer Service (which is what I do... I provide service to policyholders)... There are different call center positions, etc. Then there's also Accounting, Human Resources, IT, Mail and Imaging.... none of those are really insurance related, but most insurance companies have them. |
