Which Credit Card Company would you consider the Sleazyist? I would say Chase wins that prize! Your choice? Between the credit card companies, I would say that Washington Mutual or Providian (since WM bought them out) is the worst in harrassing you to pay. They ask you whole bunch of personal questions, like where you work, how much you make, what your hours are, then use those questions against you. Chase actually worked with me on a payment plan, reduced my debt by 50%, and let me pay out a local Chase bank after I was 90 days late. Wells Fargo! Stay away at all cost (or it will cost you more than what you earn)! I've heard several negative stories about Providian. My personal experience with Chase has been favorable, but my account was originally with Bank One and is now with Chase since the merger. american express! First Premier.....they give you a $250 credit line, then bill you with $150 in annual fees, plus another $100 in administrative fees....you need to pay down your balance before you can even buy anything, and then you pay 30% interest. |
