Is car insurance cheaper given that you hold off driving for 2 years? |
compared to when you first get your license? how much cheaper? rough estimate? given that it's the same car that you'll be driving? NO - it makes no difference. If you have not been an insured driver (a car insured in your name), you go in to "assigned risk" pool. What that means is that nobody wants to insure you, so the law requires all insurance company to share certain amount of "unwanted customers". Remember the insurance companies are there to make money. They got all the angle figured out. As for the estimate, that all depend on your locale and your age (and the car). It is best to shop around and ask the insurance agents. Good Luck === Don't forget to vote for the BEST ANSWER - please - whoever it may be. FACT: You also get +3 points when you vote for BEST ANSWER Hi. no .. they will want to know when you got your licence. So you say two years ago... they hask if you have been driving.. you say no.... then they treat you like newly qualified. It doesnt matter ... you might as well get driving now.. because in two years time insurance policies will be mush higher anyway... ( inflation .. economics) No. Most companies discount premiums after a certain number of years of safe driving. The only thing that MAY lower premiums for less time driving, is being over 25 years old. |
