" This much is agreed upon: at least six Iraqis died overnight Saturday when American attack helicopters pounded a cluster of homes in a dusty, nondescript neighborhood on the northern outskirts of Baghdad.

But the story of why those homes were targeted and who was killed depends on the storyteller.

The U.S. military said the dead were insurgents and the homes in the Husseiniya district probably served as weapons depots; troops observed seven or more secondary explosions after the air assault. By the military's tally, six fighters were killed and five wounded.

Iraqi residents told a different version: the dead came from two Shiite Muslim families who lived in an area controlled by the powerful Mahdi Army militia. The bodies pulled from the rubble, locals say, were ordinary parents killed with their children in the middle of the night. Locals counted 11 corpses - two men, two women, and seven children. Another 10 were injured. Some Iraqi authorities put the death toll as high as 18."

why dont you ppl get real already!!!! of course I feel for the woman and children who are getting killed, but from what i just read, its not from our guys. why dont you send a letter to that idiot we call a president and try to get him to do something. I hate to say it, but our taxes ALREADY are being used for that! Organizations like planned parenthood forcing women to have abortions when they change their mind at the last minute/ embyonic stem cell research, when stem cells from fat are sufficient for research(I have enough to keep them busy for awhile! LOL).

Right now, there are millions of terrorists in Iraq who hate America and Israel. We are paying taxes so we can deal with these terrorists there so they don't come here and destroy us.
There are always going to be innocents killed in war. Has happened in ALL wars.Can't be helped. Just thank God it is over there instead of here all you complainers!!

No, I am bothered by people who believe its holy to lie to and kill others who don't practice the same religion, though. Besides, our taxes ensure that others die for their beliefs, not us.
