What other benefits can you claim when you are on Child Tax Credit?

We currently claim Child Tax Credit but do not qualify for Working Tax Credit because we both work full time. Some friends have said that you can get free milk and dentist etc when you are Child Tax Credit. Does anyone know if this is true and where you can find out details about what can be claimed and how? Thanks

You are sent an NHS excemtion card when you apply ofr ctc/wtc and you are on a low wage.I was sent one before my partner moved in as we now have a higher income we are no longer eligable. If you were entitled to free dentist etc they would have automatically sent you one . So besides child benefit sorry no Source(s): HMRC officer plus experience

Why should you be able to claim benefits if you are both working? Isn't the point of benefits for people who don't or can't work?
I am not condoning people that don't work by the way, I think the benefit system is a complete farce
you can claim milk allowances if you are on income support , free dentist applies to children up till 18 and you can get a tax exemption card up till the child is one after you have given birth it explains the benefits you are entitled to in the back of the pregnancy book from the nhs and also in the birth - five book too , I don't think you'd be entitled to income support as you both work you could maybe get help with childcare costs but only if it's an approved childminder i think you can get advice for that on the inland revenue website
the only other allowance you can claim is child benefit if you are not already getting it
