my nieces mother had her taxes intercepted and she told my niece that her dad needs to hand her that tax intercept check over is this true or not.. whos money is this the father or the child Definately the custodial parent. We have custody of my husband's 2 kids. One year we got the tax intercept money and were able to fix the kids rooms up and buy them nice new clothes for a change! Before that we only got child support when she felt like paying or when she was in the country. It was a GODSEND! Child support is just that. It is money to be used to support the child not to hand to the child so they may spend it on crap. I argue this point with my kids all the time but the always have food, clothes, shelter and the major necessities. I also use child support to help with school related costs such as pictures, field trips, etc. it belongs to the parent who has costly of the child if a child lives with you 6 months or more of a year then you get the child exempt.[the parent gets it not the child] |
