Has anyone filed contempt of court orders against an exwife for claiming children on tax return?

my husband has the right to claim his children on his tax return or so the divorce said . we filed our taxes and the irs said the children have already been claimed. has anyone gone as far as filing contempt charges? does anyone think it is worth the time and money to file contempt charges?

Yes. File them. Do whatever you need to do. She needs to live by the divorce decree.
that happened to a friend of mine, and he should be able to take his divorce papers and file, and then the irs will make her pay it back, they will garnish her wages.
Yep, sue her.
email me,and tell me all about it.My ex wife just did the same thing to me and my 3 kids.Even if the IRS doesn't nab her,the judge more than likely will. The form you talked about, doesn't need her signature,The IRS told me to file a paper federal return, and later when they check, we both will be audited. The one that shows the court papers, showing legal right to claim, will be free and clear. The other, well the IRS said they will handle the tax fraud, penalties, payback, and prehaps jail time.
