Can you claim child support on taxes?

I have a friend with this problem. He gives someone child suppor with no job but that is legally considered a income. And also it is considered an expense. Do you guys know this? Thank you.

Child support payments are not deductible by the payer and are not taxable to the payee.

Child support isn't required to be reported by the person who receives it and isn't allowed as an "expense" to the person who pays it.
No you can not deduct child support as an expense
No, you can't. But if your friend is paying for a child on welfare, he can claim the deduction if the situation allows.
alimony: YES. child support: NO.
child support is NOT a deduction to the payor and it is not income to the payee.
