Tax deductions- adult children?

My two sons (20 and 21) are still living at home. Each earned a little over $3500 last year. I provided 99% of their upkeep including room and board during 2006. Can I claim them on my tax as a deduction?

If they are students, yes.

If not, no.
I dont know. Id say its time to kick them out.

I left my parents house at 18 right after high school. You need to get them out

I believe if theyre still in school then your ok to claim them, if not i dont know what the age limit is.
If they are full-time students and you are providing at least half of their tuition, yes.

If not, no.
If they are full time students, or mentally / physically disabled, yes. If not, they do not qualify as dependents according to the IRS.

No, unless they are full time collage students.
As long as they are full-time students, they can be still claimed as your dependent for EIC purposes. If not, you can claim the exemption for them but they won't qualify you for EIC.
