I filed my taxes this year, and child support took most of it, will that go to the mother? Yes, it will go to her. All of it is going to the mother...good for her! I am sure the child can benefit a great deal. The good thing for you is that your "arrears" balance has decreased and you get to keep your license, possibly your job and will not have to be labeled as a dead beat dad! Yes, for the benefit of YOUR kids. It does go to the mother. Check with your employer about raising the number of exemptions on your W-4 to allow you to keep more money on a monthly basis. Make sure you meet with a tax specialist before you do this to make sure you don't claim too many. This could cause you to owe more at tax time in the form of penalties. Been through it myself. if you owe her cs, then, yes! be glad they are taking it now. depending what state you live in, if you were still behind when you renewed your license they wouldnt let you til you paid up! my mother in law just got a $10,000 settlement(he actually owed her $30,000) bc her ex went to refinance his house and they woudlnt let him unless he paid her. my husband is 26, his dad thought he had gotten out of it bc he was over 18. cs is taken very seriously(as it should be). if you dont pay up it will catch up to you! if it's owed to her, it will go to her. i wish men would take of their children. mothers have to do it, and make sacrifices that they shouldn't have to! |
