How do i make my voice heard about the taxing of the universal child care benefit? |
I just read in the newspaper today that the Universal Child Care Benefit will be considered a taxable income. I am a young single mother and I'm completely shocked and outraged that they would do this! That extra $100 every month really was the relief that they said it would be, but to find out that my tax return will suffer because of it counter acts the good that it did. If anyone else knows how to let the struggling parents voices be heard on this matter please let me know I would talk to your local MLA...I get it also. But as a single mom...they base the tax rate on what you make. Talk to your local State Rep. and see about a bill being passed. Make sure that you have it all outlined and show the benefits of the proposal. Contact your reps The IRS has been looking at a lot of public assitance to find loopholes to tax......hell..they even tax your state tax returns...I'm waiting for the day they consider federal tax returns taxable...I think a tea party is long overdue...but because of the pcifist people in this country...they would be taxed to death and be afraid. Oh by the way did you know that the next of kin has to pay back medi-cal if your parent dies? I too am a single mom. I had NO idea it was taxable. Nice scam Mr. Harper. I would, and will talk to my local MLA. That is their job. |
