My child's father filed his taxes from jail?

he said he filed his taxes from jail. i was wondering how long does it take and when should i recieve it. he did it a week ago?

Things move slower coming from jail, so it will probably take a couple weeks longer than normal. Since it isn't electronically filed, I'd say probably 4 weeks or more.
That depends on what way he filed US Mail or the internet. mail 6-8 weeks and internet 3-4 weeks. good luck
The normal turn around is 4-6 weeks, however in jail their mailing process does take a bit longer. The best way to find out when you should be recieving your check, is to go on the IRS website, and they have a page where you can enter his social, his date of birth, his expeceted amount of his check, and the approximate day of when you mailed your taxes, and they will give you the date of when they are going to mail your check.
