I need to get a EIN # for a child care center for my taxes, does anyone know of a way? |
I do not want to contact them directly. Left on bad terms. They are required to give you this number, or they could face a fine from the IRS. You could ask someone else who uses this daycare. Most of the time though daycares have the ein number on most billing documents if you have an old one. You just may have to call to get the number Listen call ( 1-800-829-4933 ) ask for more info on recieving an EIN# and they will set you up with one and as far as you not wanting to contact them directly " you never speak to the same person twice (lol) they never remember all the people they speak with on a day to day basis. 1 in a million. I have had to do the same thing believe me we never think about that when bill collectors call our home. The only thing we have to do is say she's or he's not availale or not home or we could simply tell them when you fine her, tell her " to pay me my money" that's all to it. so the point I am trying to make is, These people are not going to hold any thing against you. Business is Business. If they care for your children, they are required to provide you with their EIN, no matter what kind of term you left them with. If you used them last year, look at you 2004 income tax return the form to look for is 2441 (Child and Dependent Care Expenses). The EIN will be on it in the space beside the care givers address. |
