My child support Paid with my income taxes every year, why do I get harassed by his ex? |
But my husband ex calls harrasing us.Telling us to pay her. this is not right we pay it to child support right? Is there any thing we can do to make her quit? She insults us and threats. She live's in TX and we live in CAl.There daughter is now 21 and she the ex didn't even let us know were they lived .I found his daughter after 17 years and she came and live with us.We all enjoyed her being ,my husband and his daughter now have a father And daughter relastionship. we all re great except for the ex who won't leave us alone. My husband 's daughter went back to TX with Mom ,but moved out of her moms because her mom won't stop putting down the dad she just meant. And he is no dead beat dad. he's daughter thinks he's great and loves him. Well the way to make her stop harrassing you is to pay off the child support that is owed. You can pay it to the attorney generals office, but she will not stop harrassing you until it is paid. If you can afford to pay it in one lump sum that would get her off your back, or at least you could talk to the TX attorney generals office and ask them to be the conduit for any communications from her. That would also be served by filing a complaint of harassment against her. This would prevent her from talking to you directly and make it necessary for her to use the attorney generals office. Source(s): TX Cop 19 years START RECORDING THE PHONE CALLS. OPEN A HARASSMENT CASE ON HER. SHE HAS NO RIGHT TO CONTINUOUSLY CALL. RECORD THE CALLS AND THEN GET AN ORDER OF PROTECTION AGAINST HER. PETITION THE COURT THEY WILL HELP. I don't quite understand your question, but you could change your phone number, and make it unpublished. File harrassment charges .....especially if the daughter no longer lives with her mother....and usually child support stops at the age of 18...unless she is in college... Why is he paying for a 21 year old? Is she in school? The cut off should be 18. First of all, if the daughter is 21 and what is owed is back pay, the money should really go to the daughter. (Different laws for diff. States). Since the adult (Child) is 21, the ex is looking at the support payments as a revenue stream. Pay it at your own leisure. You're not depriving the child of anything. I wouldn't even acknowledge that harrasing woman if I were you. |
