Whats the best way to file your taxes being married? And with a child? I'm married with two and I've always been advised to file married, filling jointly. You loose earned income credit for child if you file seperate (and that is a huge benifit for parents) Also, use an accountant. I pay a little extra, but at least you know its right, and most of the time they are insured so if you get audited it falls back on them! certified mail. or e-file... I work in one of the most reputable and largest accounting firms in the nation. File a joint return, and claim an extra dependant. ...filing separate is almost always a very bad idea. |
