Why should we tax payers pay for other people's children like free lunches, welefare {health? etc etc we did

Because we could not afford them and NOW we are paying for theirs and why is this? Are we dumb and permitting this moral out rage to become the new past time?

Very good point. Of course that is not the only problem we have. It is worth addressing. It is all about choices. It is an assumption that people are responsible enough to realize that if they can't feed or take care of themselves they would be compounding the problem by having children who they can't or won't feed or care for. I believe any one with minimal intelligence would realize this to be true and act on it. History and statistics tell us this is not the case.
So as long as society is willing to put up with unacceptable behavior you and I are victims of the "We have a Club and you are going to join, like it or not syndrome.". Sometimes the truth is not pleasant but it is always the truth.
Why not complain about all the other things you pay taxes for instead of helping children that can't help themselves cause their parents... I don't mind helping children...I do mind paying taxes for the other things.. Just a thought though.
The measure of a democracy is its willingness to cater to those who live in a minority and its treatment of the people who constitute those minorities. I do not think we (depending on whom you consider "We" to be) are dumb.
well as tax payers we are paying for others entertainment the rich peoples entertainment that is, because they are too rich to pay for their own. we pay for remodeling for buildings we will never see, for trips we wont take, see this is all about the rich people and us paying for what they won't! so if my taxes are actually going to feed a kid instead of some fat, pompous rich dudes, then thats the most useful thing they have done with it yet!
This isn't new. We do it because as a society we care about children and want to take care of them. Parents are the best care gives but if they can't we will (and should) step in to help.

You seem more upset with the welfare in general and personal responsibility. The welfare system isn't the trap it use to be, but it's far from perfect. We, as a society, have made it the governments responsibly to help people instead of the local community. If local organizations get more support, then they are in a much better position to help those in need.
Are you honestly asking if other people agree that we should let kids starve if their parents don't have enough money to care for them? Things happen, the people that you are likely referring to are those that abuse the system and are not trying to support their children on their own, those people are not all the people. Just to let you know the free lunch program has nothing to do with the welfare system, the lunch program is offered through the school district and has very different requirements.
My mother raised four children on her own without receiving the child support she was supposed to get. We never were on welfare or received free lunches, not that we wouldn't have qualified, but my Mom wanted to be sure that she wasn't taking that money from someone who needed it more. Before you are willing to let children go hungry perhaps you should do more research on the subjects.
You've obviously never been on the other side, have you? In theory, welfare, food stamps, etc were great ideas. No one accounted for the number of people who would take advantage of the system when they had the idea. If you are going to make that argument, where does the cruelty stop? Not give people care at the hospital because they can't pay, not give HIV stricken patients care because they can't pay. I envy you, my friend, it sounds like you have never had to go without anything you needed.
