The ex owes over $30,000.00 in unpaid support. He hasn't filed his 2005 taxes because he is due a refund (about $3,000.00), that will automatically come to me. Sure that his intentions are to do the same for his 2006 taxes. What a guy!!! Anyone know what my options are? Thank you!
yup, and i sicked the state and feds on him.
write one letter; in it give your contact info, case number, arrears amount, his info and the problem of him not paying. and ask them what they are doing about it. tell them you want interest on the arrears now. tell them you repectfully request that the state and federal child support laws be applied to this case.
then take that ONE letter and FAX it to the following:
1) your state Governor (link is below)
2) your state Attorney General (link below)
3) your states Regional FEDERAL Child Support Office (link is below)
if he lives in another state, fax it to all of that states offices as well. phone calls are useless; they are ignored, denied, forgotten. mail ends up in someones "to do" pile, but FAXES are effective.
if you hear nothing in a week, fax it again. fax it weekly if need be. the squeaky wheel gets the oil, if ya know what i mean.
THEN you need to write the IRS and tell them of him not filing his taxes :)
THEN you need to post his DEADBEAT FACE on a deadbeat site.

Call the IRS 800 #, ask to talk to someone in Auditing, they should be able to help you.
Call the IRS ...report him ...they will fix him .....just tell them he refuses to file a tax return , do not mention the refund thing ...they will track him . and do a very through audit ..those are always fun , a few years ago they got me I been receiving refunds , but I missed a few things from my business hit my *ss for $10,000 .00
How do you know he's due a refund of $3000 from 2005? Maybe he changed his exemptions so he wouldn't get anything back.
