Are minor children that work and file their own income taxes supposed to get back everything they paid into? |
are children working and filing their own returns supposed to get back all the federal taxes that they paid in and if so where can i go to file online. No, they are not guaranteed to get back everything. However, for most minors they work so little or earn so little, that if they do file they will generally get everything back. There is nothing in law that says a minor gets everything back solely because they are under 18. If they earned income, they get to file and possibly pay some tax. |
