Maternity grant do i qualify what is higher rate child tax credit.? |
i have just stopped for mat leave, i get child tax credit of about 拢20o every 4 wks now as my income has dropped, i also still pay childcare of 拢30 wk and our annual income for this year will nly be about 拢16k not including smp should i apply? you have to be recieving more than 拢546 a year in child tax credit to recieve it x i didnt qualify because im not getting job seekers allowance or incom support. fill in the form and send it off as your circumstances may be slightly different. they got back to me with in 3-4 days so its pretty quick. how far are you cause you can only apply from 29 weeks onward and your midwife must sign the form. p.s go to entitledto.co.uk its a benefits calculator you put your details in it and it tells you what you are due, how much and how often. its really helpful. we are moving into a new home in 4 weeks and it really helped me as we are entitled to housing benefot and council tax discount then after the baby is born we are due tax credits. it never hurts to apply. 32 weeks pregnant Hi hun, I'll tell you what. You can apply for the grant from 29 weeks. The best thing for you to do is to just request the paperwork, get your midwife or health visitor to sign and validate it and send it back. I've qualified twice and didn't think I would. You can but try. not sure what the higher rate actually is but when you call for a pack, they'll probably be able to tell you anyway. Good luck. There's no harm in applying. I didn't think we'd get any help when I was pg with the baby coz my partner was working, we qualified for the maternity grant and got 拢500, so go for it.
