How high of credit do I need for an alternate loan for college? My credit is currently 730.? |
I don't have any cosigners so I'm trying to build my own credit but my college balances are catching up with me. I don't have enough federal aid to cover the entire bill and my mom didn't qualify for the parent loan. at 730, you can get whatever you want...nice score.. 730 is plenty good enough. i think thats high enough Call your college financial aid office and ask to speak with a counselor. They can help you pin down other sources of funding. Also check out fastweb.com for scholarship and grant info (lots are not based on grades at all). Consider work study if you're not already working to help pay the bill. A 730 is a very good score. you will not be turned down for credit score reasons.
