Yea, student loans are for whatever the student needs for college.
the answer is "no" definitely not, that's fraud and therefore a punishable offense. Your student loan is just for courses, fees, books. Depends on the student loan you get (most don't allow it) if you can get transportation (i.e. gas) paid for and housing perhaps if you are living away from home. But, remember that you have to pay the loans back at an interest rate that makes it very difficult for you to pay back. So don't waste your student loan money or you will be paying and paying dearly till when you're 90..
