Looking 3 years down the road, need to find out more about the topic, who offers best rates etc.

Make sure you look for federal loans first, they'll have the lowest interest rates. Here's a list of sites:

The only one that I can think of off hand is salliemae.org. I'm not at my home right now so I don't have all of my resources handy. When I do get there I will be more than happy to respond with more solutions. If you know what college/university you plan to attend, they should also have some good resources...OH, the school that I attend uses Whachovia as a preferred lender. There rates aren't too bad, especially since they're capped. Hope this helps.
