What's the best way to contribute $ to grandchildren's education - without $'s counting against college loans? |
Our 17 month old triplet grandchildren live in California and their uncles want to contribute as well as us grandparents. I think the best thing is to help put money into a college fund. I am putting money into my nephew trust fund every month. Not alot but just something to offer him some choices when he turns 18 :-) lign="right" > Sign in to vote! start an IRA lign="right" > Sign in to vote! Get their parents to set up 529 accounts in their name. They are specially geared toward saving toward college, and grow tax free. lign="right" > Sign in to vote! i would open a cd for each of them and just give it to them at their graduation. cds earn lots each year! |
