| *Loan,banking and credit>>>consolidation loan |
Have your student loans been consolidated a few years, but consolidation companies continue contacting you? |
If these companies are able to find out you have student loans, aren't they also able to determine the loans are consolidated with someone else? Is it normal to continue receiving these notices? Thanks These are just annoying bulk mailings -- they aren't doing any special research into whether you've already consolidated. They might have gotten your name from your school or from something education-related and taken the chance that, like most recent (?) graduates, you probably had some loans. There are any number of reasons why a lender wouldn't care if you've already consolidated. They might be hoping that you'll mention their mailings to a friend or sibling who hasn't consolidated... or that you're going back to school and will have new loans that you might want to consolidate later on. Like any ad, they just want their name/services to be in the back of your mind. If you're sick of getting junk mail like this, there are supposedly ways that you can make them stop (like a "do not call" list but for snail mail), but from what I've heard, they don't work very well. For now, just throw them out. |
