Is experian credit bureau normally the lowest of the 3 scores? |
or is it just mine? and is your credit score a mix of the three scores? in other words when a mortgage company pulls your score what are they pulling? It's impossible to tell because all lenders do not report to all credit bureaus. Add to that the fact that all three credit bureaus have their own way of calculating your credit score and that there are three different types of bureaus. 1. Normal, this is the one you get on line. 2. Auto enhanced, this is the one that car dealer and lenders look at. 3. Factual, this is the one that mortgage companies look at. So, one person can have nine different credit scores depending on what bureau is pulled and what type of bureau is pulled. When mortgage companies look at your credit they pull all three credit bureaus (factual) and base their numbers on the middle score. Source(s): Finance Manager for over 7-years. Your answer to both questions is: it depends. Some credit card companies, banks, etc. only report to one or two of the bureaus, some report to all three. Hence difference scores with the different credit bureaus. *Most* mortgage companies pull a combined report that includes all three of your credit score. They will then use the middle score as your credit score for lending purposes. However, some mortgage companies will only pull exclusively from one bureau. I used to be a loan officer |
