Are Wal-Mart card payments reported to credit bureaus? |
I would like to know for sure whether payments made toward a balance on a Wal-Mart credit card are reported to credit bureaus, i.e., will they build credit. Wal-Mart has two different cards, the Wal-Mart Discover card which is a full credit card, and the store card which goes through GE money bank and can only be used at Wal-Mart. I would like to know the influence on credit for both types of cards. Thanks. Both of them will show up on your credit report. If you make your payments on time and regularly and keep your balance at less than 30% of the available balance then they will be a positive influence on your credit score. Yes- I have walmart and you have to have credit to get it and if you don't pay it it will be reported to both credit agencies. Pay them on time, they will affect your credit rating! I believe all credit cards are reported to credit bureaus. We had a Walmart credit card and I know that it was on our credit report. Credit is everything. Try to keep it good!!! The full credit card will be reported everywhere but the store only card is something else. In a big setup like Walmart it probably is reported for the good and Definitely reported if you are a late payer. Yes, all credit cards no matter who they are from are reported to all three reporting agencies. If you are looking for ways to improve your credit score you may want to look at some of the credit solutions offered at http://www.your-credit-solution.com... . Their "Credit Secrets Bible" has really helped me improve my credit score. of course they're reported. |
