Have you ever heard of a church doing a credit check on it's members? |
Have you ever heard of a church doing a credit check on it's members? Sheesh. I'd be very interested to see where in the Bible folks get the notion that "Jesus demands" a tithe. I am aware of where it's found in the Old Testament, but can't recall our Lord validating the ten percent. Sorry -- I digress. To be honest, I have not heard of churches doing credit checks on members anywhere but here on Y!A, where some weeks ago a person posted that a rather large church in Atlanta was doing so. I find it tacky at the very least, and it's sad that churches would do this. If it were my church, I would put one final offering in the basket on my way out the door: Matthew 6:33, and the word "goodbye". Hahahaha, that's funny. Did they do that to you? LOL, is that to see how much of their paycheck goes to them? well it is a BUSINESS for je$u$ \o/ thats messed up if its true if so, this aint no chuch of Jesus Christ! |
