What are good non-profit companies that do credit counseling in Virginia?

and what if your crd cards have already gone to collection agencies??? what will happen then?

Many non-profits actually charge you a fee and are very much "for profit." They usually dont have the incentive to work very hard for you though because they hide under that "non profit" umbrella. Check out the free evaluation form at the source website. Hopefully they can keep you from being sued. Good luck. Source(s): www.totaldebtsolutionsllc.com
Go on Google adn search "Credit Counseling of Virginia". If your credit cards have been turned over to a collections agency you will be sued, more than likely. If the billing suddenly stops, look out. Then after you are sued your wages can be garnished. SOME Collections agencies will work with you .
Contact Consumer Credit Counseling Services at 1-800-388-2227.

They are the largest and oldest non profit credit counseling service in the Country.

I used them several years ago and they worked with my creditors to lower both my monthly payment and interest rate. I was debt free in 36-months.
