SOME BANKS SAY YOU NEED A FICO AROUND THE 620 TO QUALIFY
i read recently that that won't even consider any below 540 Many banks will require a score of 600, but it also depends on the loan to value ratio (ie: how much equity you have in your home) and your debt to income ratio. Other factors will be employment vs self employed, interest rate your willing to pay, etc. Be careful and find a good mortgage broker to help you. If you know a great real estate agent, he/she will also work with an excellent mortgage broker. Best wishes, C.
